Nestled in a prime location, Der Hirschen presents a compelling balance of charm and comfort. The welcoming staff, particularly Rui, the energetic server, added a personal touch to our stay. We indulged in a special Christmas dinner-an impressive culinary experience, though it adhered closely to traditional European offerings, which may not cater well to all tastes. The hotel, while an older establishment, is undergoing renovations, hinting at a promising future. The newly updated bathrooms and comfortable sitting areas suggest thoughtful upgrades. For those who enjoy wellness amenities, the sauna is a unique offering, provided you're comfortable in a mixed setting. Guests should be aware that breakfast lacked variety, featuring mostly pork options, which may not align with all dietary preferences. In terms of value, the hotel's location, alongside accessible parking, makes it a practical choice. Der Hirschen showcases potential for luxury while remaining mindful of budget considerations.
